First comic drawn at the IPRC

Today was our first day of classes for my Certificate Program!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am unbelievably stoked. There are so many rad people involved in this program and I am so lucky to be a part of it!

Nicole, our instructor, asked the class to make a list of Ten Things You Might Not Know About Me and share a few. Here’s my list. I came up with 9/10 and then Nicole was like “PENS DOWN!” (Okay, but much gentler)

Then we were to choose ONE and, in about 25 minutes, draw a full page comic illustrating this thing. My comic is about a little fish named David, whom I won at the Vermont State Fair…and a handful of other Davids that followed.

As beginning comics artists are probably all wont to do, I realized (too late) that my comic is missing a few key elements, which could be included if I ever want to redraw this idea. One of the missing panels would be this:

…burping David in all his glory.

Time to go do my HOMEWORK, which goes basically like this: “Sit down, shut up and draw, homegirl!”

More soon :)

  1. Mwahahahaha!! I found your blog too! Super rad! Your nerdy blog post is eerily similar to mine. Love it.
